Is Gandhi’s legacy proving too burdensome for congress to carry?

After the austerity parade Congress ministers are now determined to show their humane side. Following Rahul Gandhi’s surprise visit to Shravasti where he stayed with a dalit family following their lifestyle, other party members sensing the opportunity lined up to visit dalit families. However there was a major difference between Rahul’s visit and later visits and the concern showed by the visitors. Unlike Rahul our secular party’s ministers carried their own cook and ate in plastic plates. But yes, they had their lunch together. After all 'all is well that ends well'.

What’s the need to put all this drama? Why is congress putting up one face after another in a silly fashion? Is Gandhi’s legacy proving too burdensome for congress to carry? They visit a dalit family to show their concern their sympathy to them to offer them solidarity by reducing all caste borne differences. But ironically they are enforcing the same discrimination by not eating with them in their utensils. Why this shameless hypocrisy? Or is it a Dalit Vacation Agenda of Congress? Why are they making fun of dalits? C’mmon you have won the elections, you don’t have to strain yourself now! Strike the iron when it is hot.

Instead of following this mindless herd mentality they should understand their responsibility. If Gandhi appears too remote or ideal they should learn something from YSR.
