hush!.... its democracy!

So, this is the world's largest democracy. Here a wannabe authoritarian has the right to curtail over the rights provided by The Constitution i.e. right to expression. Interestingly he is allowed to do so. One day he gets the enlightenment that north indians are behind lagging economic development of Maharashtra and with great haste he takes up cudgels along with his supporters to cleanse the state. Such promptness is an absolute rarity in Indian politicians. Nothing less than Lord Protractor he is troubled that they are corrupting state's culture and eating away into share of Maharastrians(Marathi manoos). Many north Indians had to face the wrath for earning their livelihood in financial capital of the country. He strove hard to make us aware that Maharashtra is some unique place and there are some places in the country where one has no right to go.

Recently lord protractor got livid as one director had used the word'Bombay'.Our law ignorant people didn't know that this word has been banned by the Supreme court as it did to some words related to lower castes, which were derogatory to their position. But here is the authority greater than the court itself. Our lord has some morbid fascination for nomenclature of the city for some arcane reasons. He took upon himself the noble task to separate river water from its earlier journey. Unfortunately science has not developed much to assist him. Can you say that humans evolved from 18th century homo sapiens and not from some savage creatures discovered by Darwin. Well he is upto something of that sort and soon he would come up with his own theory that would make India proud.
However, the prudent director having no faith in constitution of the country which states freedom of expression and has the power to protect it,rushed to appease the lord. If person of such stature can have no qualms in grovelling before him then you can imagine how much power is wielded by the lord. Some say this was the publicity stunt to promote the movie. It is a term which is now a days used freely to denote antics of person related to movie indulge into prior to and after a week of release of movie. In certain extreme cases of desperatenes the span is extended. At times the occasion appears similar to general elections where they leave no stone unturned in convincing people. Reason behind such paroxysm of antics have been found inscrutable.

Some rebels who believe in democracy held the director more culpable than the 'goon'(it was the term used by them). They were angry at the director for encouraging fantasies of a megalomaniac person.Imagine what would happen to your child if you go on to fulfill every promise you made to him,or letting him have what he desires(not what he needs). They also accused our lord protractor for being a frog of rainy season which croaks when elections approach. But these ignorant people donot know that lord didn't wait for elections to thrash Bihari students at CST station and didn't let them enter the city.

They say that he would be brought to justice and democracy would prevail. Yes we believe them. Isn't it the prerogative of people to trust its rulers. Till then, our ancient civilization tells us to tolerate. God Krishna taught us that we will recieve fal of our karma. Also there is a person called as Chitragupta who has the record of our life and judges us according to our deeds. So, if not here than at heaven, but we shall get our dues. Hence we tolerate.
We tolerated 26/11 and many other terrorist blasts that ripped our heart apart; one took place when we were inside a temple to seek fortitude to tolerate. We tolerate internal threats, naxalism, maoism though they have snatched our peace and security. We tolerate inflation even when we have nothing to eat though some people have more than enough, probably that are their earlier life's good results. At times we lose our path taught to us and use violence against injustices. But then that is not expected of us. Things might get better after all fidayeens are not forever. We would mute them with our resoluteness, fortitude and tolerance. We have a huge population to sacrifice for this noble cause. And our later generations would proudly sing
Kuch baat hai ki hasti mit ti nahi hamari....
